Adobe South Africa has launched a new tool to help the local creative community gain quicker and easier access to user, product and promotional information.

Dubbed Adobe Source, this Air-based desktop tool was developed specifically for Adobe South Africa to be the company’s primary source of communication going forward.

“Adobe Source streamlines and centralises Adobe’s online news feeds,” says Dinesh Copoosamy, Lumisys Web Consultants head of development. “The downloadable tool is therefore a single source of information about Adobe promotions, events, training, user groups, as well as data relevant to the web, video and print communities.”

The application has been developed using Adobe Flex and Air, with a Drupal backend used to aggregate and moderate information.
This is a really fun project to have worked on and we have loads on the roadmap – so be sure to get the app and watch out for all the new features in the near future.
